  • Degree: Higher secondary education or equivalent through experience
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a production environment
  • Required languages: Very good knowledge of Dutch, verbal good knowledge of English

Job description

  • Leading: You manage a team of about 9 operators, guide and follow up new operators during their training, coach and stimulate the employees within your team, evaluate and adjust if necessary. You act as first point of contact in communication between the shop floor and the production supervisor.
  • Shift transfer: You ensure smooth cooperation with the team leaders of the other shifts, you take part in production meetings and consultations with e.g. technical department, planning and R&D. It may happen that meetings fall outside your shift hours.
  • Communication: You communicate new working methods, changes in production processes, you cap feedback from your team and communicate it further to appropriate colleagues.
  • Production: You ensure efficient production, carry out quality controls, you are responsible for a number of technical interventions (mould change, adjustment and calibration of raw material supply, fault analyses). You support the start-up after a collective leave period (possible exceptional work at the weekend for start-up twice a year)
  • Back up: You back up operators taking breaks to ensure continuity of production. 

     

What we expect from you

  • Higher secondary education or equivalent through experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a technical/process-driven work environment is a plus.
  • You know your way around and enjoy open and honest communication.
  • You have experience or interest in engineering.
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and can express yourself fluently in English.
  • You can perform simple tasks on a PC (mail, reports in excel). 
  • You have experience with computer-controlled machines and notions of 5S.
