Bekina Boots launches a new boot: Steplite S
We are proud to announce the launch of our brand new StepliteS boot: an important milestone in the history of Bekina Boots.
With the launch of the StepliteS, Bekina Boots is responding to the growing demand for safety boots that offer more than just protection. This boot combines the elegant look and comfort of a leisure boot with the safety of a certified safety boot. The unique combination of premium comfort, lightness, durability and innovative features takes Bekina Boots' range to an even higher level – and sets a new standard in the market. The StepliteS has been designed in two different models: StepliteS FlexGrip and StepliteS CleanGrip, both with a modified sole profile to meet the specific needs and requirements of each sector. The StepliteS FlexGrip has been specially developed for professionals in agriculture and industry, while the StepliteS CleanGrip is fully attuned to the needs of the food sector.
Unique in the market
What makes this new boot so special? This work boot not only offers comfort and safety but is also extremely stylish. The sole profile has been further refined with multifunctional sole studs that provide optimal grip on diverse surfaces and with various types of soiling. The new sole also has a self-cleaning effect – thanks to smart geometry – through better water drainage and reduced accumulation of mud, dirt, stones or food residues. The SR-certified (Slip Resistance), antistatic, non-slip sole gives you the grip you always expect from Bekina Boots, but now all models with a safety toe cap also feature ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection. This prevents the build-up and discharge of static electricity, avoids sparks, protects sensitive electronic components and increases safety and product integrity in ESD-sensitive areas.
The StepliteS CleanGrip also features Knife Drop Protection (patent pending). Unique in the market! "In work environments where sharp objects can fall, one area of the foot remains particularly vulnerable is the instep. These days, most safety boots come with a protective toe cap (and often also a sole) made of steel or composite as standard, but the top of the foot often remains unprotected against the impact of sharp, falling objects, such as knives. Until now, that is. Bekina Boots' Knife Drop Protection is unique within our own range and on the market; no other boot on the market can has it. It is an innovative reinforcement, structurally integrated into the upper material of the safety boot, which is specifically designed to protect the instep area against penetration by sharp objects. With our Knife Drop Protection, the food sector finally has a solution that addresses a real risk," explains Nathan Leroy, Sales Director at Bekina Boots.
Tested and approved
"Behind every Bekina boot is a development, innovation and safety-testing process. But our testing doesn’t only happen in our lab. After all, who better to judge comfort, safety and sustainability than the people who work with them, day in and day out? That’s why we at Bekina Boots regularly use a carefully selected panel of farmers from the region to thoroughly ‘field test’ our boots. The StepliteS has also undergone a great deal of real-life testing in various other sectors. This enabled us to finalise the boot to deliver the most comfortable and safest boot possible. The initial reactions have been very positive!", says Davy Goosens, SDE Director at Bekina Boots.
